Confidential information comes in many forms. As well as our regular paper shredding service, we can also use our expertise to execute the secure destruction of media, uniform and branded goods.
Data Protection compliance is a legal requirement under the General Data Protection Act. This means your company is legally responsible for safeguarding personal information in all its forms, through storage, maintenance, sharing and disposal.
Personal data and information includes paper and computer documents, CD’s, disks and anything else that can be used to identify a living person. There’s a significant fine for not complying with GDPR – so it’s important to protect the bottom line, as well as the reputation of your business.
Our shredders are designed to shred many types of materials including; paper, fabric and even plastic. Therefore we can shred for many of your company’s security requirements including confidential office documents, uniform shredding, and memory sticks.
Media and Technology Destruction
With more information stored electronically than ever before, it’s vital to dispose of computer equipment and media equipment securely to protect the confidential data it may contain. We can securely dispose, and recycle wherever possible, desktop computers, computer monitors, hard drives, laptops, printers, CD’s and DVD’s. After wiping and destroying your media equipment, we recycle each component and provide you with a Certificate of Destruction.
Some media equipment will contain harmful components that require specialist treatment under the Hazardous Waste Regulations (2005). As part of B&M Waste, we are able to utilise our in-house hazardous waste department to safely dispose of any dangerous items.
Uniform and ID Badge Destruction
We recognise how important it is that items used for security and identity purposes do not fall into the wrong hands. In addition to posing a significant security risk, this can damage the reputation of your brand. We can organise the secure collection and shredding of your organisation’s uniforms and any ID badges. Shredded textiles will be sent to an energy recovery facility and we will issue a Certificate of Destruction.
Every organisation has things that they want to keep secure. Whether it’s a new product sample, faulty equipment that cannot be sold or excess stock that you need to keep off the black market, we can help you to securely destroy them.
