Working with many Leeds, Wakefield and Bradford based businesses to introduce recycling bin collections, we’ve helped reduce their environmental impact. Find out about The Core Shopping Centre, and ITV Leeds who have both worked with B&M Waste to improve recycling levels.
Whether you own a small business in Leeds or a large company with many complex waste streams, we tailor our service to fit your requirements. With current legislation in mind our team can advise you of the most suitable waste package, including recycling where ‘technically, environmentally and economically practicable’ (TEEP).
Our main services include general waste, recyclables including paper, card, plastic and glass, and food waste. Depending on the amount of food waste you produce, we have a network of service providers that offer sophisticated processes such as anaerobic digestion to ensure that as little as possible is sent to landfill.
We can then ensure that your service is implemented as smoothly as possible. If you are still in contract with another provider, don’t worry: our dedicated in-house team will help you to manage the changeover process.
By reducing the amount of waste that we send to landfill, we aim to reduce the amount of carbon we produce and, in turn, we pass these savings onto you. In 2011, we achieved carbon neutral status and have maintained this ever since.
In 2014, we introduced our Energy from Waste facility which has led to more and more of our customers diverting all of their waste from landfill. Instead, this waste is used to generate energy and steam for heating systems, in a much more environmentally friendly process with very small amounts of by-product.
We currently sponsor Championship side Leeds United Football Club. The partnership has seen us feature heavily in their advertising across multiple platforms, including digital board signage, corporate events and hospitality. We have a significant reputation for supporting and investing in the local communities in which we operate, and our work with Leeds United is further evidence of this. Read more about our partnership with Leeds by taking a look at our press release here.
Working with Children’s Heart Surgery Fund in Leeds we’ve made a positive impact to the community. Read more about CHSF work here.
With all that is going on in the world at the moment, waste management continues to be an essential utility and we are doing all that we can to continue to operate as normal.
We can remotely organise audits, paperwork and health and safety documentation without the need for physical contact so that a safe and compliant service can commence imminently.
