*Calculate Your ShreddingChildren’s Heart Surgery Fund (CHSF) is an award-winning charity, supporting the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit at the Leeds General Infirmary.
The aim of the charity is to support the Leeds Congenital Heart Unit in becoming a world class centre of excellence – by providing the funding and
resources needed to care for a patient’s heart, mind, family and future.
Our commitment to support a local charity at each of our depots saw the Leeds team being asked to nominate a charity, and given the immense support Children’s Heart Surgery Fund give to children with heart problems, we chose them as our nominated charity.
We have branded our B&M vehicles with CHSF’s messaging to promote the fantastic work the charity does as it collects waste and recycling around West Yorkshire.
We always take part in the charity’s annual Wear Red Day and sponsored their charity networking event, seeing local Leeds businesses come together and share ideas and best-practice, as well as the common interest being to learn more about the work the CHSF do.
B&M also sponsored the biggest event in CHSF’s calendar, their 30th anniversary ball. The event was a glittering black tie affair including a three-course meal, entertainment, a live and silent auction, and a raffle – all with the aim of raising £30,000 in honour of the number of years the charity has been running. Smashing this target the event raised over £44,000!
