*Calculate Your ShreddingA team of budding volunteers from B&M Waste Services visited Claire House’s second site in West Derby, Liverpool, to assist in clearing the vast garden area which surrounds the former monastery.
The strenuous tasks on the day included firstly separating and wood chipping a mountainous pile of branches, brambles and bushes. Secondly, shovelling woodchip into wheelbarrows to be moved around the site and placed in various other locations to reduce weed growth and further improve the aesthetics of the gardens.
David Curtis, Director at B&M Waste said “As B&M Waste’s nominated Liverpool and Wirral charity, Claire House looks to businesses such as ours to support the work they do in supporting children up to the age of 23 who have life-limiting conditions and in running counselling services, in very close proximity to Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, this second site for the charity is already supporting those in need of their services. Through continued support from individuals and businesses both financially and through volunteering efforts they hope to continue to support more families in their time of need.”
Mick Ashall, Director at B&M Waste added “It was a long day, on one of the hottest days this year so far, but the team pulled together to assist in making the surrounding gardens of this magnificent facility much more pleasant for those visiting. We encourage more businesses to get involved in supporting what is a truly wonderful charity.”
With all that is going on in the world at the moment, waste management continues to be an essential utility and we are doing all that we can to continue to operate as normal.
We can remotely organise audits, paperwork and health and safety documentation without the need for physical contact so that a safe and compliant service can commence imminently.
