*Calculate Your ShreddingSteph Long, Purchase Ledger Manager at B&M Waste Services, took to new heights to raise money for Wirral charity, Stick ‘n’ Step.
Steph took to the skies on the ZipWorld Velocity line, the fastest zip line in the world. Soaring over the Penrhyn Quarry, the line can reach speeds of up to 100mph and covers 1555 metres!
Stick ‘n’ Step are one of B&M’s Wirral nominated charities and works with children and young people with cerebral palsy, and their families, from all across North West England and North Wales. Offering free conductive education sessions to children and young people, Stick ‘n’ Step rely heavily on fundraising from generous individuals such as Steph.
On the day, the zip line team gathered in the sun and prepared for their experience of a lifetime. The team of 15, made up by parents supported by Stick ‘n’ Step, staff and other companies, took part in the challenge to raise as much money for the charity as possible.
Through both online and offline donations, Steph raised an outstanding amount of £1,040. Steph said: “Taking part in the velocity zip line truly was a one in a lifetime experience. I am so incredibly proud to have raised money for Stick ‘n’ Step who are such a deserving charity- thank you to everybody for their donations!”
