*Calculate Your ShreddingB&M Waste Services (B&M), a leading independent recycling and waste management company, teamed up with VINCI Facilities to support NHS Sustainability Day at St Helens Hospital.
The organisations, with help from children from Robins Lane Community Primary School, supported the event by planting 100 native broad leaved trees to enhance the green spaces at St Helens Hospital.
The trees were donated by B&M as part of its Carbon Neutral Commitment, which also includes supporting Verified Clean Energy Projects around the world.
Bobby Potter, Regional Sales Manager at B&M, said: “Right from the start VINCI Facilities and St Helens Hospital were eager to get involved with our Carbon Neutral programme. The trees will be a great addition to the hospital’s green space and it was fantastic to get local school children involved.”
B&M work with leading sustainability consultants Carbon Footprint Ltd (www.carbonfootprint.com) who have helped them over a number of years to develop their carbon credentials. Carbon Footprint Director, Dr Wendy Buckley said “B&M have established themselves as leaders in sustainability within the waste services sector. Their tree planting is just one aspect of their commitments; it helps to promote biodiversity and support wildlife and also engage school children in environmental stewardship.”
With all that is going on in the world at the moment, waste management continues to be an essential utility and we are doing all that we can to continue to operate as normal.
We can remotely organise audits, paperwork and health and safety documentation without the need for physical contact so that a safe and compliant service can commence imminently.
