We have pledged a donation of £1,000 to our local charity partner in Birmingham, Little Hearts Matter.
Little Hearts Matter are the only charity in the UK that supports children with single ventricle heart conditions. These conditions, often known as half a heart, are not compatible with life and the only way children survive the diagnosis is through three major heart operations by the age of 6.
Speaking of the donation, Sean Sudworth, Area Sales Manager at B&M Waste Services, said:
“B&M are delighted to be making this donation to Little Hearts Matter. Having worked with the charity for the last few years, B&M staff have supported in raising vital funds, with more fundraising planned for the next year. The work that Little Hearts Matter do is fantastic and the support and services that they offer is one of a kind. We are proud to support the charity in whatever way we can and urge other businesses to consider doing the same.”
Ian Carr, Fundraising and Marketing Manager from Little Hearts Matter added,
“We are so grateful for B&M Waste’s continued support. It makes a massive difference to the work we do in supporting families on their half a heart journey. A huge part of what we do is help to educate, communicate and bring families together who help each other by sharing their stories and providing advice when they need it most; reducing isolation and improving knowledge of these life changing diagnoses. Our newsletter plays a vital role in this, so the sponsorship of this is very important. Without support like this we simply couldn’t continue our essential work. Thank you so much.”
