*Calculate Your ShreddingCarbon Neutral Waste Management company, B&M Waste Services, have further invested into driver and customer safety, through the purchase of a number of new vehicles which among other safety features include alcohol testing software.
The very latest addition to the B&M fleet is the new Generation Scania G Series with a Moffett truck mounted forklift, fitted with a Euro 6 engine- this ensures that carbon emissions are kept to a minimum, supporting B&M’s Carbon Neutral ethos. The new truck has been added to the fleet in light of the new clean air zone regulations, being enforced in many on the major cities across the UK. The new regulations mean that that owners of heavy polluting lorries, coaches, taxis and private hire coaches may be charged for entering the city. B&M Waste Services operate across numerous major city centres and have ensured compliance in advance of the new charges.
As well as the Euro 6 engines, the new trucks also feature a state of the art alcohol testing machine. This feature requires drivers to provide a specimen of breath prior to driving; if the specimen comes back positive for alcohol, the vehicle will not start. Alongside this, B&M also ensure that all vehicles are equipped with additional cameras surrounding the vehicle, improving driver safety and reducing risk of pedestrian accidents.
B&M Waste Services are dedicated to staff and customer wellbeing, recently winning a ROSPA Gold health and safety award, for the third year running. The family-run business continue to invest in up to date and low-emission vehicles; having been Carbon Neutral since 2011, they are leading the way in the necessary investments to run an environmentally friendly business.
Commenting on the new vehicles, Graham Curtis, Director at B&M Waste Services, said: “The latest investment to the B&M Waste fleet is a welcomed addition in improving both our driver and customer safety. We continue to develop our investment in vehicles to ensure that we are operating to the highest standard and reducing our carbon emissions when possible.”
With all that is going on in the world at the moment, waste management continues to be an essential utility and we are doing all that we can to continue to operate as normal.
We can remotely organise audits, paperwork and health and safety documentation without the need for physical contact so that a safe and compliant service can commence imminently.
