*Calculate Your ShreddingHaving been Carbon Neutral since 2011, B&M Waste Services are further increasing their commitment to minimising environmental impact through conversion of three more company vehicles to hybrid technology.
The recycling and waste management company, who operate a zero waste to landfill policy, by increasing recycling across UK businesses, have taken receipt of three Toyota Yaris Hybrid cars this week further expanding the eco-friendly fleet. These vehicles achieve an average emission of just 75g of CO2, and further decrease the carbon impact of the company in line with their green ethos.
Graham Curtis, Director at B&M Waste Service said “Reducing the impact of our vehicles is just one part of our comprehensive Carbon Management Plan, but it plays an intrinsic part in our efforts to reduce the environmental impact of our operations. We also adopt the latest technology to divert waste from landfill through segregation at source for recycling, additionally we send waste which cannot be recycled to our Refuse Derived Fuel processing facility and subsequent combined heat and power station to generate green energy.”
“We encourage our customers and other businesses in our sector to use the technology in fleet solutions to minimise carbon emissions and we look forward to further reducing our Carbon Impact to remain Carbon Neutral for yet another year”
With all that is going on in the world at the moment, waste management continues to be an essential utility and we are doing all that we can to continue to operate as normal.
We can remotely organise audits, paperwork and health and safety documentation without the need for physical contact so that a safe and compliant service can commence imminently.
