*Calculate Your ShreddingB&M Waste Services, Corporate Account Manager Darren Andrew has recently abseiled 100 ft to raise funds for Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity.
B&M has recently opened an office in Birmingham, where they chose Birmingham Children’s Hospital Charity as their local charity. The charity supports young children and their families using the 356-bed hospital in the heart of the city.
B&M offered a free waste collection service for the charity’s ‘Fun Family 5’ event, held in association with The Big Sleuth, which took place in Sutton Park on Saturday 29th July. They have also pledged to volunteer to entertain children waiting in outpatients and A&E departments through assisting at the art tables, called ‘Art Kart’, which helps reduce the stress children and their families feel when waiting in these areas for long periods of time.
More recently Darren, from B&M’s Birmingham office, abseiled 100 ft at the Three Brindley Place building, on Saturday 16th September to raise much-needed funds for the charity. Darren raised a fantastic amount of £450.
Darren said, “Heights aren’t normally my thing, but as the money raised is for a charity that goes above and beyond, I found the courage to complete the abseil. I am ever so grateful to everyone who sponsored me and I am more than happy with the amount I have raised.”
With all that is going on in the world at the moment, waste management continues to be an essential utility and we are doing all that we can to continue to operate as normal.
We can remotely organise audits, paperwork and health and safety documentation without the need for physical contact so that a safe and compliant service can commence imminently.
