Tranmere sped through the qualifying heats of the Mersey Masters UK on Sunday 4th July 2010. The team demolished Preston with a 5–1 win then followed suite with a 3–1 win against Blackpool. A classic 4–1 Tranmere win over Wigan saw them ease into the prestigious Masters Grand Final, to be held in the Birmingham NEC in September.
