Our NEW Materials Recycling Facility
Expanded MRF signals bright future for Bagnall & Morris and recycling in the north west.
Recycling efforts in the North West will increase dramatically in the New Year when Bagnall & Morris Waste Services re-open their new and improved Material Recovery Facility, or MRF.
The MRF, which will also be operated by B&M at their Bromborough site, will be capable of processing in excess of 70, 000 tonnes of material per year – more than double the previous throughput.

Designed in 3D by O.Kay Engineering Services – and currently under construction at their UK manufacturing plant – the expanded system will be able to process commercial/industrial waste and is a reflection of the success of B&M Waste Services in the waste industry over the past seven years.

The plant will recover timber, cardboard, paper, plastic film, steel, aluminium and other metals and can also recover glass and rigid plastics as well as other specialist items.

The Bromborough facility marks the start of a major investment at the site: already new loading vehicles including a JCB JZ 140 ZTS excavator are on order and the company has just moved into modern offices on a further site next door.

The MRF has been individually designed by O.Kay following in-depth research carried out by B&M into all the possible configurations.

“We looked at all the possibilities to ensure we built the right system and we’re certain we’ve got the best possible option now both for ourselves and, more importantly, our customers,” explains B&M Waste Services director Neil Curtis.

“It’s so important for our customers to know that their waste is being recycled effectively, legally and in a safe environment.  The O.Kay plant utilises the existing equipment but in a way that has been configured to our precise specifications, enabling it to handle the higher throughput whilst delivering an excellent quality of sorted material.

New Corporate Identity Logo Design
B+M Waste celebrate business boom with a bright new look.

Waste and recycling specialist Bagnall & Morris Waste Services has unveiled a new corporate identity to celebrate the company’s continued growth.

With a contemporary and dynamic logo, and a name change to B&M Waste Services, the Wirral-based company aims to accurately depict its broadening market opportunity as one of the UK’s leading waste services companies.

Company Director Neil Curtis says: “This is an exciting period of growth for us. We felt it was time to invest something into our own appearance and commissioned Chester Creative to re-brand our company.

“By creating a new logo and evolving the name we are aligning our corporate identity to better illustrate who we are today and how we are growing to meet the future needs of our customers.”

With a turnover of more than £10 million, the family-owned company has invested in a waste transfer station and recycling centre and has expanded its operational area to include Wirral, Chester, Liverpool, Halton, Warrington and Manchester.

The new logo incorporates the well-known Bagnall & Morris swan – which has been given a fresher, more modern look.

Neil adds: “We are very pleased with the solutions provided by Chester Creative. The logo was designed as a symbol of the superior service, high quality and customer satisfaction that our customers expect and we believe our new corporate identity extends our appeal to customers wanting the very best from an award-winning business.”.
