B&M Open New Manchester Site
B&M Waste Services are pleased to announce the opening of a brand new depot and Recycling Centre in Manchester, following the acquisition of a new 2.5 acre site at Europa Gate in Trafford Park, Manchester.
The new facility will ensure that B&M’s growing portfolio of clients in and around the city will continue to receive the high standards of service they have come to expect from the company. As B&M’s director, Neil Curtis explained: "This new facility, in the heart of Manchester, will give us the capacity to continue our rapid growth across the city, without compromising the high quality of service that is fuelling that growth."
The new site provides vehicle parking, container storage and garage services for the extensive and varied fleet needed to provide a comprehensive waste management service. It also includes offices for the expert support teams for sales, administration and transport.
Also on site is a state of the art materials recovery facility which can recover card, paper, plastics, wood and metals, ensuring as much waste as possible is recycled, reducing land fill, cutting costs and protecting the environment.
To give some perspective on the size of the facility, the new baling machine supplied by Whitham Mills has a throughput of around 5 to 7 tonnes per hour. The new facilities underline the company ethos that any growth should be sustainable, as Neil Curtis points out "The new Recycling Centre development is proof of our commitment to flexible and sustainable waste management. It will help not only our own company, but many others across the region, to aspire to the highest possible environmental standards."
Several additional jobs have been created by the new facility, with many more local jobs envisaged as the company continues to grow across the region. |
