Here at B&M, we’re used to our staff exceeding expectations, but our Mega Hike team have raised the bar to a whole new level.
Set the task of hiking 50 miles in 24 hours to raise money for MedEquip4Kids, the team finished the gruelling course almost six hours early – completing the course in just 18 hours and 20 minutes – and finishing a full two hours before any other team. Not only did our team win the 1st Male prize but Darrin Percy also won best support driver! They also raised a spectacular £3000 for MedEquip4kids.
No mean feat when you consider they were traversing some of the most challenging terrain in the UK, including the Pennine Way Bridleway and parts of the famous Mary Towneley Loop.
Well done to our blistered boys - Graham Curtis, Bobby Potter, Lee Winson, Andy Hughes and Darren Percy – on this outstanding achievement that sums up the ’can do’ spirit of B&M. |
