Tranmere won through the qualifying heats of the Mersey Masters UK Cup in June this year, playing against Liverpool, Everton and Wigan. Tranmere beat an impressive Bolton side at the Grand Final which was held at Liverpool’s Echo Arena. Bolton had scored a total of 13 goals in the 1st round and the semi final but a determined Tranmere managed to put four past the Bolton keeper to seal the victory by a single goal!
