The Government is raising Landfill tax by 33% from April 2008.
It is clear that the policy of the Government is to use Landfill Tax increases to change our behaviour related to managing waste. Over the past three years Landfill Tax has increased by approximately 80%.
During the next two years a further £24 tax will be levied which will effectively double the landfill tax burden on commercial enterprises.
