NATIONAL AWARD WINNERS
We are very proud to announce that we have achieved a double success at the 2005 Severnside Annual Recycling Awards.
We were awarded ‘Best Recycling Service Provider’ and were overall ‘Company Commitment to Recycling’ winners. The awards were presented on 23rd November at a prestigious ceremony at the Millennium Centre in Cardiff by Welsh celebrity Max Boyce.
As well as receiving an impressive trophy for ‘Best Recycling Service Provider’, the overall award was jointly sponsored by the Woodland trust and in recognition of our success they have dedicated a stand of trees in New Pale Wood, Knowsley to Bagnall & Morris Waste Services. |

ENVIRONMENTAL BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
We were also very proud that we triumphed over strong competition at the prestigious ‘Wirral Environmental Business of the Year’ awards in 2003 and again in 2005.
It gave us great pleasure to be given these awards because they are recognition of the dedication, care and service we at B&M strive to maintain.
Environmental issues are of concern to us all, not only as a business, but also as citizens of our community. However for Bagnall & Morris it is the main focus of our activity as we make our living from collecting, recycling and disposing of waste products.
We are fully committed to both minimizing release into landfill of waste product collected from customers, and to ensure as far as possible, that the maximum quantity of waste collected is segregated into recyclable materials for reprocessing.
We believe within the resources available, Bagnall & Morris has made more than an expected contribution to securing a long-term sustainable future for the environment on Merseyside, and for that reason we are proud to be a category winner of the Wirral Environmental Business of the Year. |

Every organisation would like to improve the way it operates, whether that means increasing market share, driving down costs, managing risk more effectively or improving customer satisfaction. At Bagnall & Morris Waste Services Ltd we are no different. We have implemented a Comprehensive Intergrated Quality, Environmental & Health & Safety management system which sets the critique for continual monitoring of our performance in quality safety & environment.
| ISO 9001 is by far the world’s most established quality framework, currently being used by over ¾ million organisations in 161 countries, and sets the standard not only for quality management systems, but management systems in general. |
ISO 14001 is an internationally accepted standard that sets out how you can go about putting in place an effective Environmental Management System (EMS). The standard is designed to address the delicate balance between maintaining profitability and reducing environmental impact; with the commitment of your entire organisation, it can enable you to achieve both objectives.
Bagnall & Morris Waste Services Ltd's Directors and Management Team view the health and safety of their employees, clients and the environment as a strategic importance of the business. The basic principles of Health & Safety are the identification of the hazard - the potential to cause harm - and the reduction of all associated risks - the likelihood to cause harm. |
| To demonstrate our commitment, Bagnall & Morris Waste Services Ltd achieved Occupational Health & Safety Standard ISO 18001 by March 2005. OHSAS 18001 provides the company with a pro-active structured process to ensure that all potential hazards have been considered and measures implemented to prevent any problems. In doing so, Bagnall & Morris Waste Services Ltd became one the first Waste Management company's in the UK to have achieved all three NVQ accreditation's in Health & Safety, Quality and the Environment. |
